Guild Wars 2 microtransactions explained
Emily Gera from Video Gamer writes: Anyone left wondering about how Guild Wars 2 will incorporate its microtransaction system will need to look no further than the recent blog post by ArenaNet president Mike O'Brien.

Writing on the official website, O'Brien spoke about the firm's approach to the system, explaining that it will run on a currency of gems which can be bought with real-world money and traded for either items or account services.

Armies of a hundred players will get the chance to fight for their server in Guild Wars 2′s massive three-way PvP battles. Each army will fight for control of The Mists, an enormous zone packed full of vast NPC controlled fortresses that you’ll have to take and hold using trebuchets, catapults and siege golems.
